On Dressing Up

My love for dressing up started when I was 6 years old when I became part of our school's dance troupe. Preparing for costumes and props gave me the freedom to embody different personalities every show. I realized that I can be a ballerina for this week's dance, I can be a Hawaiian dancer next week and I can wear a ballroom dancer's outfit for the next Dancesport contest.

This is one of the things that I love about fashion. You can be this person today, and tomorrow, you can be someone totally different. I can be lady-like and wear a chiffon dress today, I can rock a cropped shirt and ripped acid-wash shorts tomorrow and I can play with menswear-inspired garments next week.

This is what I wore the other day. I was going for the girly look with florals and bows. The top that I have on is not just a plain cream top. When you look closely, there is actually a pale pink print on it. I paired it with my mint green floral skirt and my brown bow belt. I wore ballet flats because I was on my feet all the time preparing for a shoot, visiting the boutiques and photographing products.
