Plains & Prints Spring/ Summer 2012 Collection

Fashionable women’s work wear brand Plains & Prints recently welcomed the highly-anticipated summer season with the release of its coveted Spring/Summer 2012 Collection. Their Spring/Summer 2012 offering features the creative fashion influences of premier Filipino designer Rhett Eala, who collaborated with the brand for this particular season.

One of this season's key collection, Santorini, contains an amalgamation of fluid knee-length dresses, wide-legged pants, printed tees, and rompers decked in solid hues and watercolor and abstract prints that magnificently combined the colors of the sea and the sunset—teal, pistachio, hunter green, sky blue, and azure.

Athletic Couture upped sportswear, using mesh and tulle to create modernist shapes and highlight new looks and silhouettes; while Vintage Coral brings back retro glam fashion with 70's inspired selections.

Preppy Paris offers a subdued interpretation of youthful Parisian dressing with a preppy twist and with crisp and structured fabrics in fun colors of green, navy, orange, chambray, and white. Watercolor, meanwhile, is a combination of prints and patterns, from abstract watercolor paints to story prints, resulting in romantic and feminine pieces with a light and airy feel.

Neon Wave, pays tribute to the new wave punk-rock fashion popularized in the ‘80s, combined with sci-fi influenced details and pared-back shapes. The collection is characterized by fabrics in splashy neon colors mixed with pristine white and flashes of galactic silver. The chic yet relaxed cuts of the dresses, tops and pants from the Neon Wave collection make it the perfect wardrobe additions for the summer season.

Their latest collection, 50’s Flair, revisits the hourglass silhouettes which were characteristic of that decade  and also incorporates playful patterns and quirky prints.

So what are you waiting for? Head on over to any Plains & Prints branch for versatile and fashionable pieces that are wearable and appropriate for working women.
