Au Revoir, Paris!

We couldn't leave Paris without visiting the city's historic Roman Catholic Church, the Cathédrale Notre Dame de Paris.

The first thing I noticed upon going inside was how beautiful the Church is. It was exquisitely decorated with sculptures, stained glass windows, statues and religious icons. I felt really lucky to have been able to visit one of the largest and most well-known churches in the world.

After attending mass, we went outside and started queuing for the Towers of Notre Dame Tour.

We had to climb 422 steps (yes, it was that many!) and after what seemed like an eternity, we finally made it to the top.

All that climbing paid off because we had a spectacular view of the city.
We had the chance to see the gargoyles up close as well as the Emmanuel, the great bourdon bell, which was allegedly rung by Quasimodo in Victor Hugo's classic, The Hunchback of Notre Dame.

At the top with hubby :)

I love their buildings! They remind me of the dollhouses I used to play with when I was little.

Descending from the Towers. This is how the staircase looks like. It is really tiny. :)

Since we had a lot of walking to do, I dressed comfortably wearing my vintage camel blazer (similar here,) a striped turtleneck, black skirt and my ballet flats. Whenever I travel, I don't want to lug around a huge tote bag so I usually just bring a clutch or a small hand bag with me. I like to be able to move freely when I'm out and about exploring.

Many of you have been asking me where I got these white round sunglasses. I got them from Romwe a few months back but you can find them here as well. During our Europe trip, I purchased a lot of hosiery and this pair of patterned ribbon tights from Marks & Spencer is a definite favorite.

Paris is really a lovely city and the perfect conclusion to our honeymoon trip. Until next time, Au Revoir!

Vintage blazer, Forever 21 stripe turtleneck, SM GTW belt and skirt, Marks & Spencer tights, Romwe sunglasses
