Exactly a week ago was my husband's birthday and we celebrated it at Marco Polo's BLU Bar & Grill. Charles and I love going there as it's the perfect place for celebrating intimate occasions. Because we thoroughly enjoyed my birthday dinner there back in June, we knew we had to come back.
The BLU Bar & Grill offers a stunning view of Cebu and has a comprehensive menu― an eclectic fusion of cuisines to suit all palates. We started off with a seafood platter which included a selection of crab, scallops, clams, salmon and tuna. Because I still have a hankering for Britain's most famous dish, I ordered Fish & Chips for the main course. My hubby selected his staple Black Angus Tenderloin steak served with black pepper sauce and ginger and cranberry chutney which as usual didn't disappoint.
Big thanks to the Marco Polo Team for making this a truly memorable affair. It was a wonderful surprise for Charles to be presented with a complimentary birthday cake. :)
We toasted the evening with a couple of glasses of Moët & Chandon. The night had an extra special sparkle because of the full moon and the restaurant offers 2 cocktails for the price of 1 during these occasions.
We also stopped by Cyma at the Terraces in Ayala for a pre-birthday lunch earlier that week. Both of us enjoyed their Chicken Gyros and Souvlaki. To cap off the meal, it was really nice of them to give him a birthday treat. :)
On to the outfit, I went for a classic vintage-inspired look and wore one of my favorite dresses from SM GTW. I love the polka dots and how the dress flatters my figure really well. I kept the look clean and accessorized minimally in black and gold pieces.
