Olney Town

We ended our UK trip with a visit to Olney, a quaint little English town in Buckinghamshire. We spent the morning walking around, checking out independent stores and browsing through the merchandise offerings of antique shops.

The good thing about villages like this is that they haven't succumbed to corporate capitalism in a big way. You won't find any Mickey D's, Burger King and other similar establishments. Instead, you'll come across stand-alone premises, little tea rooms and village pubs, where you can enjoy a pint of locally brewed ale as well as delicious home-cooked grub.

In Olney, visitors can also pop into one of their shoe factory outlets and purchase top quality leather goods.

For this look, I went for a classic all black outfit with gold accents. Whenever I have a clothing dilemma and I'm clueless as what to wear, I simply put on the first dress I see or grab a black top and skirt. These tried and tested combinations have saved me countless of times from unnecessary stress, being late for an appointment, etc.

I had such an amazing time exploring London, Edinburgh and Bedford. I hope you also enjoyed the virtual tour and maybe someday, you'll get to experience these places for yourself. :)
