The Royal Mile

One cannot take a trip to Scotland and not visit Edinburgh Castle. This iconic Scottish attraction is located at the top of The Royal Mile and stands upon the plug of an extinct volcano. It is a magnificent sight to behold as you can see in the photo above and has wonderful panoramic views of the city.

We don't have medieval castles in Cebu that's why I feel really lucky I was able to set foot in a historical fortress such as this. I will share pictures from the castle tour on my next post! :)

When traveling to a cold country, the main struggle for me is staying warm. Because I am such a skinny girl, I get cold really easily. As much as I want to sashay in Scotland wearing breezy dresses and pretty skirts, I will be the first one to admit that it’s not very practical and sensible especially when it’s 4˚C outside. I tried it and even though I loved how my outfit looked in the shots, these clothing options are just not appropriate for the UK's winter weather.

So what’s a girl like me to do? Ditch the lace dresses of course and put on three layers of clothing. Under this coat, I am wearing a vest, a long sleeve top and this turtleneck. Layering is key when creating your outfit as it helps keep you warm but doesn't inhibit movement.

Along with the gray sweatshirt that I wore on my previous post here, I also purchased this turtleneck from Topshop. If you’re looking for sweatshirts, check out Topshop because they have best and comfiest ones!

Happy weekend, my loves! :)
