Happy Saturday, loves! The Sinulog weekend is finally here and Lee Jeans is kicking off the festivities with a Denim DIY workshop. I am so excited to attend the event because I love the idea of reinventing and breathing new life into a basic pair of denim jeans. I am a fan of the brand and for those who saw my latest style video, you will notice that I wore my Lee denim cut-offs in one of my Sinulog Outfit Ideas.
This is what I'm wearing to the Lee Denim DIY Workshop today. Since the event is going to be full of activities, I opted for an outfit that will allow me to move freely and still look stylish at the same time. I paired this black and white cropped top with my Zara skort. I really like how the horizontal stripes go with the minimalist, angular lines of the skort.
I have never really tried making my own DIY creations save for the feather headdress that I made for a shoot that I syled last year. So I went online to look for inspiration and I'm so pleased I found so many great DIY ideas! There really are so many things you can do with denim. All you need are a few materials and a whole lot of creativity. So if you have a pair of jeans sitting in your closet, here are different ways of revamping them:
Studded, ripped or embellished.
Torn or covered up.
Painted or distressed.
Patched up or dip-dyed.
For my own creation, I think I will be painting my denim. I can't wait to add some color to my blue jeans and show you guys the finished product. The lucky winner of one exclusive invite to the Lee Denim DIY Workshop is Lia Lourdes C. Tundag! Congratulations! See you at the event. :)
