Holiday Style Look #1: Jewel Tones

For the first installment of my Holiday Style Series, I am featuring one of the biggest trends for the holiday season, jewel tones. Be it emerald green, ruby red or amethyst purple, incorporating rich gemstone hues make your outfit just a bit more festive.

If you're not too keen on wearing red for the holidays, this cobalt blue boxy blouse from ForMe is a great alternative and a stylish way to add colour to your ensembles. I especially like how the contrasting collar lends the look a minimalist and preppy vibe.

To make the outfit more interesting, I teamed the blouse with this pair of black and white windowpane trousers then topped the look with my favourite red heels and statement earrings.

Prior to the Grand Opening of SM Seaside City Cebu, I was fortunate to be invited for a media tour and one of the stores that we visited was ForMe, the branch where I got the top from.

I like the brand's over-all aesthetic. From their chic interiors to their trendy garments and fun catalogue shoots, ForMe is all about feminine, wearable and versatile clothing.

If you haven't dropped by the store yet, here are some photos from the opening:

As soon as I stepped into their SM Seaside branch, I was floored by how well the store was designed. I love all the white furniture, the pretty wall decals, as well as the mini form mannequins on each display table.

If you still don't have your Christmas Day outfit yet, pop into their store and get first dibs on their Holiday Collection, which was shot in New York.

Whether you're looking for preppy separates, pastel-coloured basics or feminine dresses, you are bound to find nice closet additions.

Because my wardrobe currently has an unequal tops and bottoms ratio, I took this opportunity to stock up on blouses. The blush camisole on the photo above, along with the white version are some of my purchases. And they were on 30% off! Score! :)

Aside from apparel, they also carry perfume and beauty products.

They have a decent accessory section, too! You guys know how much I love costume jewelry, browsing their table full of accessories was so much fun. I'm crushing on their necklaces!

Will be posting my second Holiday look tomorrow! :)
