As Valentine's Day is fast approaching, today's post will be highlighting the items that I always take with me during special events. I will be breaking down the contents of my evening bag― all of which are essential to solving any fashion or beauty emergency.
L-R: Estée Lauder Pure Colour lipstick in Rose Tea | Clean & Clear Oil Control Film | MAC Studio Fix Powder | Watsons Breath Strips and Plasters | Marithé + François Girbaud card holder | Estée Lauder Modern Muse Perfume Sample | Nima clutch bag
Lipstick. Be it a bold red or a classic nude shade, opt for a lip product that is moisturising and long-wearing. What I like about Estée Lauder's Pure Colour lipstick is that it doesn't dry my lips (apparently due to its hyaluronic acid component) and has an excellent colour payoff. Plus points for its elegant packaging!
Blotting Sheets and Powder. Always look photo-ready by carrying a pack of blotting sheets and a face powder. These remove excess shine and keep you looking fresh from dusk 'til dawn.
Perfume Sample. Smell fab while you party the night away by keeping a tiny bottle of your favourite scent in your clutch. Spray on your wrists and behind your ears and you'll be smelling fresh as a daisy.
Breath Strips. These breath fresheners come in handy especially when you've had one too many drinks. Pop one in your mouth and say bye-bye to bad breath.
Plaster. Wearing a new pair of heels to your date tomorrow night? Protect your feet from painful blisters by stashing plasters in your bag.
Bobby pins and a hair tie. Nothing can ruin your entire look like a collapsed updo or long waves that have lost their curls. Pack a few bobby pins to update and secure your mane and keep a hair tie at the ready so you can easily put your hair up in a chic pony tail (after your gorgeous curls have ceased) later during the evening.
Card holder. Leave your bulky wallet at home and go for a more compact card holder to store your cards, cash and IDs.
What are your evening bag essentials? :)
