Bobbi Brown Beauty Haul + Mini Reviews

I recently attended a one-on-one make-up lesson with Bobbi Brown Philippines' very own, Tamara Pineda. Not only did I get tips from the pro, it was also the perfect opportunity to stock up on some skincare and make-up products. Read on for mini reviews of my newest beauty acquisitions.

First up is Bobbi Brown's Extra Treatment Lotion. I mainly use this at night for that extra moisture boost when my skin feels drier especially with the AC on. It's very soothing and calming, a God-send for my sensitive skin. It has a thicker consistency compared to most toners so instead of using a cotton pad, I pour it directly onto my hands. This way I don't waste any toner and all the product goes onto my face. And if you want a bit more glow, Tamara suggests mixing it with the Extra Face Oil.

Mascaras are a mainstay in my beauty arsenal and I rely on them to complete my look whenever I don't feel like wearing eye make-up. I hate putting on false eye lashes but the Eye Opening mascara helps me achieve dramatic thick lashes without the fuss! I'm telling you guys, this mascara is one of the best products I've ever tried. I don't even need to use a curler and my lashes look fuller AND longer with just one coat.

It's bigger than your usual tube and has a large wand, which I think requires a bit of getting used to for some people. But overall, I am very impressed and will definitely repurchase when I run out.

Bobbi Brown's Luxe Lip is one of the most moisturising lip products I've ever tried. It lives up to its name with it's ultra luxurious packaging and creamy formula. I've always had problems with dry lips mainly due to my affinity for matte lipsticks but this product doesn't dry me at all. Lasting power is about 4 to 5 hours with food and drinks.

I have it in the shade 'Almost Bare,' a peachy brown colour and the perfect pairing to the classic smokey eye look.

And lastly, Bobbi's Secret to the Universe: peach corrector and creamy concealer kit. I don't know why I've just discovered this now but I swear this combo does wonders! I have really dark under eye circles (doesn't help when my baby's teething) but once I apply this, I notice that my face looks instantly brighter. It blends well and has very good coverage. No more tired mummy eyes for me!

Basically, what I do is apply the corrector first then the concealer and set it with the pale yellow powder. I know some people have problems with creasing but I read that applying the kit powder using a damp Beauty Blender makes a difference and really helps set all the products. Keeping your eye area hydrated by applying eye cream prior to putting on make-up also helps.

Have you tried any of these products? What's your favourite Bobbi Brown purchase? :)
