5 Tips on How to Wear All White Outfits

Wearing an all-white outfit can be a bit daunting however, there are plenty of ways to pull off this look.

If you want to try out this trend, here are 5 tips to make your white-on-white outfit look anything but boring:

1. Play with different textures. Make your outfit a little more interesting by mixing up different fabrics. Think tweed and chiffon; lace and linen. This combination of varying textures not only gives dimension to your ensemble but also helps it from looking flat.

2. Complement with neutrals. If you're not sure what to wear with an all-white outfit, neutral accessories are your safest bets. They pull your look together and blend in with your monochromatic ensemble.

3. Add a pop of colour. Subtle hints of colour can help elevate the chic factor of your outfit. Whether it's a red lipstick, a printed bag or a bejewelled necklace, these splashes of colour make your outfit extra stylish.

4. Go for garments with interesting details. Refrain from looking too clinical by selecting clothes with unique details such as beading, embroidery and other types of embellishment. Though simple and minimalist, I adore the self-tie bows of this off-shoulder top and the feminine shape this fluted hem skirt gives. Both elements add character to the outfit and have that classic, timeless appeal.

5. Wear the right undergarments. Just as important as the pieces you use to accessorise your white outfit with are the items that you wear under it.

For dresses, I would suggest layering a white slip underneath; for blouses, nude bras are the way to go; and for fitted trousers and skirts, opt for seamless lingerie. The one I'm wearing is the nude underwear from White Label Bridal Cebu's Seamless Basics collection. Dubbed as "undergarments that stay hidden," these panties feature laser cut finishing (with no elastic nor stitching) to ensure no visible panty lines. They are made of soft, thin, stretchable fabric and fit very comfortably.
