Malibu

Our first couple of days in LA were spent mostly taking in the sights downtown so we thought it was time to kick back and relax, get out of the city and see more of the Californian coast. Destination: Malibu.

We woke up bright and early the next morning and drove up the Pacific Coast Highway. From the sun-kissed beaches littered with oceanfront houses on the left, to the stunning mountain villas on the right— the journey was as beautiful as it was exhilarating.

What was first on our agenda? Brunch at Malibu Farm. Having heard positive reviews from friends, I was looking forward to visiting the place and boy, it didn't disappoint. Rustic and full of character, this farm-to-table eatery offers fresh local and organic food from produce to meats and coffee.

The perfect setting for family get-togethers and meet-ups with friends, this quaint little restaurant has a great atmosphere and breathtaking views of the ocean.

Just as superb as the restaurant's decor was their delectable menu. Out of the many options to choose from, we opted for one of their best-sellers: scrambled eggs served with crispy bacon, spinach and potato wedges, alongside freshly squeezed OJ.

After a relaxing day in Malibu, we made a quick stop at Chanel on Rodeo Drive to pick up the shoes that I ordered.

It took me almost a year to track down these slingbacks but I'm extremely pleased to finally have them!

Since we were going to be mobile most of the day, I wanted a fuss-free look that would take me from brunch seaside to shoe shopping in the city. I went for summer separates: a bardot top and mustard trousers (previously styled here.)

Will be posting more travel photos soon! :)
