Glossier's UK Launch: Product Reviews, Prices and Shipping

The long wait is over! Starting today, Glossier now ships in the UK and my wallet has never been this ready.

I have been a fan of the brand ever since they started in 2014. I wanted to try their products so badly that back when they only shipped within the US and additionally, didn't accept international cards, I went into Target to buy a prepaid Visa just so I could order online. Although I never got to buy anything on the website (delivery was an issue as we were traveling from one city to another) I still loved the products and couldn't wait to add them into my regimen.

You can just imagine how over the moon I was to have been invited to their London pop-up in July. Below are a few snaps from the event:

We were able to meet the gTEAM and test out the entire Glossier range. The staff was very accommodating and helped us find the perfect shades for our skintone. They also gave us a few products to try ahead of their October launch in Britain.

I have been testing these for a month so if you are looking to make your first Glossier purchase, read on for product reviews, photos, prices and shipping options.

First of all, the brand's minimalist packaging is very appealing to me. I love the no-fuss, easy to use containers and that every order comes in their signature pink zip-pouch, with a free postcard and a set of fun stickers.

Milky Jelly Cleanser (£15)

This is one of the first products that they released. It is pH-balanced, suitable for all skin types and can be used in 2 ways: on dry skin to remove/ melt away makeup; or on wet skin, to wash your face in the morning. It is non-stripping and has a nice, floral scent.

Priming Moisturiser (£18)

I honestly used to stay away from primers because I've had a bad experience before and developed a terrible reaction from a silicone-based product. So when I received this priming moisturiser, I patch tested for about three weeks until I was sure it wouldn't break me out. On the fourth week, I started applying it all over my face. It is hydrating but not greasy. It has a light-weight, thin consistency and is very wearable under makeup.

Haloscope in Quartz and Moonstone (£18)

I remember swatching these highlighters at the event and thinking how gorgeous the shades were! Quartz is a pearly nude whilst Moonstone is an opal white shade. It has great staying power, looks very natural and gives your face a healthy glow.

The outer halo is infused with genuine crystal extracts whilst the inner core is made with vitamin-rich oils. Because it comes in a stick, it is travel-friendly and easy to apply.

Boy Brow in Clear (£14)

There is a reason why this is the brand's no.1 best-seller— it really is that good and I can't stop raving about it. For someone who's obsessed with eyebrows (I can go bare faced but can never leave home without doing my brows,) I am very picky with the products I use.

Used to thicken, fill in and groom brows— this does everything I need from a brow gel. When I'm not in the mood to do my entire brow routine (pencil, gel then concealer,) I just take this and a few brush strokes later, I'm out the door. Just a little FYI, Boy Brow in Clear looks white upon application but eventually fades/ becomes transparent once you comb it in.

So what other Glossier products are on my wishlist? I am looking to try their Cloud Paint (£15) in Dusk, which is literally the perfect peach shade for medium skintone. I also fell in love with Generation G (£14) in Leo. I would use it on days when I don't want to wear lipstick but still want a bit of colour on my lips. And lastly, Birthday Balm Dotcom (£10.) I already have the original version (I couldn't wait for the UK launch so I purchased the trio set for £25 via Net-a-porter) but this vanilla variant smells so good!

Shipping is FREE for orders £25 and up; £4 for UK Standard delivery (2-5 business days) and £6 for UK Express delivery (1-2 business days.) All packages will be sent from their UK warehouse so there won't be any taxes/ additional fees to be collected.

Don't forget to check out their skincare sets and product bundles so you can save a few pounds. Ready to start shopping? Get 10% off your first Glossier order here. :)
